John Guptill was born in Portland, Maine and raised in the Damariscotta, Maine area. He earned degrees in Italian and International Studies from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. During his college education he spent several years abroad in Spain and Italy where he became fluent in both languages.

For ten years he worked in the building industry for painting and flooring companies and is versed in both new construction and building renovation. In 2006 he completed The Maine State Real Estate Sales Agent Training Course at Andover College and was granted his license. John then underwent extensive  additional company training which was greater than  that required for state licensing. John continued his commitment to education by becoming a member of The Portland Board of REALTORS. In 2008 he completed his Associate Broker course, at the top of his class.

John currently resides in Portland and works as a Buyers Specialist with the Allen Selig Team. His attention to detail and emphasis on service, not sales, makes John an excellent advocate through the entire purchase process.
